What we will do
Let's Make Cheese! In our immersive workshop, you'll transform two litres of everyday supermarket milk into your very own fresh cheese – not one, but two delightful kinds! First, you'll master the art of making rennet coagulated cheese, followed by acid coagulated cheese. You'll discover the unique ways each cheese comes to life. Here's how your day unfolds: Upon arrival, settle in with a comforting cup of coffee or tea. You'll then be introduced to the captivating world of De Kaasserie and our day's exciting plan. With the scene set, you'll prepare the first litre of milk, setting the stage for cheesemaking magic. As we patiently wait for the first cheese, it's time to embark on your acid coagulated cheese journey. Then, we circle back to put the final touches on your rennet cheese. To celebrate your cheesemaking triumphs, we wrap up with a refreshing drink and sample some delicious homemade cheese. You'll go home with more than just fond memories. We'll equip you with rennet, calcium, and a cheese cloth, essential tools to continue your cheese adventures at home. Our workshop is more than just a lesson – it's a window into the vast, delicious world of homemade cheesemaking. Ready to explore? About me I'm Paula. A designer gone cheese maker. I come from Latin America and have lived in a total of five countries, now for 15 years in The Netherlands. Food has always been my happy place, the place where I connect with my memories of places I love. Making my own cheese brought that to another level, it made me feel empowered to connect with memories I thought were out of my reach. This is why I began making porcelain cheese moulds, then selling Mexican cheeses and this is why I offer cheese-making workshops to share this amazing feeling with you!
